How To Grow Success
This site is owned by friend Romy Machias, a “semi-retired” ballet dancer/teacher and is based on the teachings of Elizabeth Towne, who published a newsletter called The Nautilus, perhaps the leading periodical of the “New Thought” movement (in case you didn’t know, the Law of Attraction developed out of the New Thought movement just over 100 years ago).
What’s really amazing is that Elizabeth moved from Colorado to Holyoke, Massachusetts in 1900. Holyoke is my home town! Romy had contacted me with nice words about my site. When I read about Holyoke, I was amazed. Talk about attraction! Go to her site and you can download for free, Elizabeth’s book, How To Grow Success. The Law of Attraction and self-improvement authors of those early years had a profound grasp of the principles.
The Positive Way
This is a site that provides practical guidelines in developing and improving personal relationships. What I like about it is that they are focused on individuals working on their personal growth. That’s exactly what I believe is the key to having good relationships; “being” before doing or having. They also major in helping people improve self-esteem and creating more happiness in their lives. Those are important foundational principles.
Meditation Methods
I'm impressed with what Jay Pietowski has done enabling both "beginners" and more advanced students to learn not only mediation techniques, but perhaps more importantly, the motivation and process involved. Why you're practicing it and what is happening is critical. I like that he says "contentment is self-generated.." He then talks about those who meditate demonstrating a feeling of not needing anything. This is important since “neediness brings insufficiency." I appreciate that perspective since according to the Law of Attraction, Like Attracts Like. If we feel needy, then we cannot attract abundance.
Personal Growth Planet
A well-rounded site on a wide range of personal growth topics from a simply nice couple, Susie and Otto Collins. I like their emphasis on personal responsibility and the desire to take charge of your own growth. I also appreciate that they re-printed an article that I wrote Thanks, Otto and Susie! My article link at their site: Develop A Manifest Mindset
Living Words Of Wisdom
Shirley Marotta has done a wonderful job coordinating a variety of disciplines into a site that leads toward living your best life now in a healthy and balanced way. She deals with yoga, mediation, new thought and chakras (I had to look that one up). These are disciplines that I'm very new at, yet excited about the possibilities.
