Gaining Self Confidence - A Significant Step Toward Success

Gaining self confidence is a concern so many have. Confidence is a powerful manifestation of the Law of Attraction. When a man or woman of confidence walks into a room, people take notice. There is an energy and power that exudes from a confident person. It flows out of her posture, her walk, and the very look in her eyes.

If you are confident of yourself, you’ll easily gain the confidence of others. Think of dealing with a salesperson. The salesperson's confidence makes it much easier to have confidence in him. His self-confidence attracts the confidence that you have to give - even if you had originally felt you didn't want to buy anything at all! In this case, according to the Law of Attraction, like attracts like.

Make gaining self confidence into a fun experience by developing a “Master Plan” in self-confidence building. Here are some steps to take:

  • Visualize Confidence

  • Act Confident

  • Affirm The Success Of Your Confident Actions

Gaining Self Confidence - Visualize Confidence

Before you start visualizing all sorts of abundance and prosperity, start visualizing yourself as being a person of confidence, as having a bit of a swagger (a humble swagger of course) and a gleam in your eye.

Before the effects of prosperity and abundance come your way, you have to own a lot of confidence; an utter belief in your abilities and who you are.

Charlie Chaplin once spoke about having to believe in himself. Even when he was in an orphanage or roaming the streets trying to find enough to eat, he said he had "to feel the exuberance that comes from utter confidence in yourself."

Make this a fun experience. Take note of people you see, whether it’s in everyday life or in the movies. Observe the ones who look confident. Begin to visualize yourself with their “look.” Look yourself right in the mirror and smile as you tell yourself that you are a confident person. Then, take the next step.

Gaining Self Confidence - Act Confident

Am I just saying that the answer to how to project confidence is to “Fake it till you make it?” Not at all! It’s a big mistake to think that you need to feel confidence before you can act confident. Feelings will always follow action, action doesn’t necessarily follow feelings.

Act in a small-minded, selfish way and those feelings will follow. Acting more confident is simply an effective and logical way of gaining self-confidence. In this “Master Plan” you are being purposeful and intentional.

There is great power in developing a plan to change yourself. Simply making the decision brings a focus and clarity to your mind and spirit. Then, acting upon an intention with feeling and conviction will attract the spiritual and psychological power that you will need.

Start with simple, easy ways that you can act a confident way. Try these behaviors which people grossly underestimate as powerful tools in how to project confidence:

  • Smile as often as possible
  • Look people right in the eye when talking
  • Greet people with enthusiasm
  • Walk like a confident person does
  • Always give the firmer handshake
  • Act happy, sound happy

Every day I make a number of calls to manufacturer’s customer service people for the routine, repetitive, “Estimated time of arrival” question. I will not accept it as being routine. I transform it into a happy, fun experience for both of us.

I’ll say hello and identify myself with enthusiasm, repeating the person’s name as I do. At least 80% of the time I sense that person literally following my lead and responding with like enthusiasm - LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE. If I can bring a little humor into the situation I do that too. After the call, I feel better, he/she feels better.

Am I gaining more self confidence after calls like that? You’d better believe it! I didn’t passively accept what some might feel as a boring, deadening routine. I transformed it into what I wanted. I followed one of my most important affirmations:

I set the pace and I’m in charge.
Determining my attitudes, actions and achievements.

Gaining Self Confidence - Affirm The Success Of Your Confident Actions

A powerful thought process that you can use is to believe that your acting confident is the creation and development of a man/woman of confident power, action and achievement - YOU!

So many people have not achieved what they were able, because not having enough confidence, they quit; sometimes just before they had success and achievement in their hands. Even if things don't materialize as you hope, you had the courage and strength to do something. Keep trying, keep "plugging away," as my Dad often said.

There are no failures and setbacks in this Master Plan; only progress where every act and decision is a step forward even if the results may not appear favorable. That’s because every decision is a courageous and heroic action where something of value and gain can always be found!

Where others might feel like they have failed, you extract the benefits out of every experience. In other words, YOU’RE A WINNER!

Don't accept any negative feelings about yourself. You are on a path of magnetic attraction and you will only accept feelings that confirm this.

Be confident! Stand straight and walk tall. Make a name for yourself. Create your own path. Believe in who you are and where you're going; people will take notice. Many will be attracted, and then some will follow. Gaining self confidence will pay huge dividends.
