Finding Happiness


Finding happiness is key to APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION. It’s as simple as this - happy people are attractive people. The energy and power of happiness is wonderful to experience and be near. However, happiness isn’t something you “find” after an intensive search. You can create happiness. According to Charles Haanel in his foundational book, The Master Key System, we have:

The ability to control our thoughts, and to determine
for ourselves how any experience is to effect us.

create happiness signIn APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, you must learn that your mind has creative power and therefore you can literally create a state of happiness. You do not have to sit and wait for good things to happen before you feel happy as so many do in their pursuit of finding happiness.

Happiness is not a destination.
It is a method of life.

Charles Haanel expresses this truth of APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION in a powerful way, in this case referring to the mind as “the world within.” From The Master Key System:

The world within is the practical world in which
men and women of power generate, courage, hope,
enthusiasm, confidence, trust and faith, by which they
are given the fine intelligence to see the vision
and the practical skill to make the vision real.

Therefore, finding happiness is a matter of generating happiness by the incredible power that resides in your mind and it‘s a foundational principle of APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.

Steps in Finding Happiness

Two ways that you can achieve happiness is by:

  • The Power of Appreciation
  • Acting Happy!

The Power of Appreciation

figure clicking heelsAn excellent way to begin the process of finding happiness by generating happiness now is to utilize the power of appreciation. In this case, I do not mean “appreciation” as a synonym for “gratitude,” although practicing that attitude is a most powerful way to attract good things.

Think of “appreciation” here as you would real estate. Under “normal” conditions, the value of your home will appreciate over the years. Of course, there are many ways to increase the value of your home, from replacing old fixtures to renovating, to building additions. These actions will all cause the value of your home to appreciate.

With this concept in mind, Begin to look at your life with the goal of appreciating its worth and value. You can start this process by “reframing” your view of yourself; looking at yourself from a different, fresh and ruthlessly positive perspective.

Simply because you’re learning the process of APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION you have:

  • An awareness and working knowledge of the mind's power.
  • A connection with the Universal Mind
  • The ability to choose your attitude
  • The ability to transform any “failure” into a positive, learning experience.
  • A huge advantage over 99% of the population that don’t or won’t believe and act on the Law of Attraction.

Talk about having abundant resources. Begin to have a bold confidence that you are on the right path and are in alignment and harmony with great Law of Attraction teachers of the past such as Charles Haanel, Napolean Hill and Norman Vincent Peale. You are on the same path as present day teachers such as James Ray, Bob Proctor and Michael Losier. You’re on the way; be happy about that.

Of course, you will be doing some “renovating” along the way. APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION isn’t just about intentional thinking. It’s about changing your habits so to reflect your new thinking. I needed to develop a budget, new eating habits and an exercise program if I was going to achieve financial and physical health. I did and it’s made a great difference.

Act Happy!

Then, you simply need to start acting happy. APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION is not always about “seeking a higher consciousness” or “increasing your level of vibration.” Sometimes it’s the simple “act as if” which dramatically increases your attraction power. choose to be happy t-shirtI remember when that song Don’t worry, be happy came out. My response was, “What?” I wondered how you can just be happy. Now I understand. When those enemies of positive attraction appear, fear and worry, don’t entertain them. That is the critical time to act happy. Find something that you are happy about. Start to think “as if” you are happy. You will be amazed. Happiness will follow because you are choosing how to respond to a situation with your mind instead of reacting to it with your feelings.




Here are some practical ways to act happy:

  • Smile often
  • Laugh more
  • Give away praise and compliments
  • Greet people like you’re glad to see them
  • Get your shoulders back and your head up
  • Walk like you’re somebody special - because you are!
What will those types of acts and attitudes do for your level of vibration? They will increase it dramatically! You will be APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION in ways that will become ingrained habits. You will begin to attract forces, people and circumstances in harmony with those thoughts and attitudes.

Once again, happiness is indispensable in APPLYING THE LAW OF ATTRACTION. Authentic happiness is an incredibly powerful attractor and its “offspring” is more happiness; to the level that after awhile, you just can’t help being happy!

The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness.
